Purolator ShipTech & ShipperX

Tools of the Trade

Approved and recommended tooling for ShipTech and ShipperX — from work management to source control.

Our departments use shared tools for key workflows. Tool-level enforcement of processes is important right now — we are working to standardize and limit tools rather than explore alternatives.

Operating System

All ShipTech and ShipperX tools should be either web-delivered, or available for both Windows and macOS environments.

Cloud Provider

Amazon Web Services is our preferred cloud provider, supported by our Cloud Ops and Dev Ops teams. Take advantage of the Shipping Channel Playground account for PoCs and learning.

Microsoft Azure can be used for PoCs (Digital Lab tenant), but not for production workloads. Cloud Ops and Dev Ops support is not available for Azure-hosted services. This may change in the future.

Do not use Google Cloud. We don’t have a funding approach for it.
